The mission of Select Schools is to empower students by utilizing academic rigor while integrating communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Select Schools, working together with the community is committed to building a legacy of excellence as students prepare to contribute to a global society.

Goals for Magnet Schools

The Clark County School District has identified four goals to be addressed in its magnet schools. These goals are

• to promote diversity
• to develop systemic reforms through implementing innovative, challenging programs
• to infuse innovative educational methods and practices that will increase student learning
• to offer varied programs encompassing a range of student interests and achievement levels that will prepare students for careers and further education
