Bonanza High School, founded in 1976, is a public, urban school in Clark County School District with an enrollment of 2,100 students in grades nine through twelve. The student body and faculty represent a diversity of ethnic and racial backgrounds. The school has 97 certified professional staff members, most with a master’s degree. CTE certificate programs are available in the areas of Animation, Business, Furniture/Cabinetry, Graphic Design, Health Science w/EMT, Theater Technology, Video Production, and the state's original Fire Science Academy. The Mojave Select School Program offers five extremely relevant programs that are geared towards providing students with pertinent knowledge for some of today’s most popular careers. Mojave offers a three year Medical Program that includes hands-on examination skills. The Video Production Program explores individual talents through the lens, including broadcasting essentials. The Sports & Entertainment Program addresses critical facets of today’s fast-paced world of business. The Culinary Arts Program delves into many aspects of the culinary field. At Silverado High School students can complete the Career and Technical Programs of their choice and still participate in a full spectrum of activities including NIAA athletics, art, band, choir, dance, orchestra, theater, honor society, as well as AP and honors courses.
